Our Story

Born from a desire to see more direct, positive change and benefit in communities, Duara Insight & Grow (Duara) aims to understand and mitigate potential barriers to sustainable development. We are a non-profit that collaborates extensively and holistically with stakeholders to identify, design, and implement the most effective strategies for alleviating poverty in Kenya and Africa.

Currently, Duara addresses inefficiencies in local food systems, where farmers often lack stable markets, and consumers face limited access to affordable, nutritious foods. We bridge this gap by linking production, processing, and markets sustainably and inclusively.

Our Vision

A self-reliant society

Our Mission

We partner with communities and public and private sectors to foster economic and social empowerment, promoting self-reliance and opportunity through 2-10 year collaborations.

Our Current Approach

At Duara, we strengthen food systems by building farmers' capacity, sourcing quality agricultural produce, processing it into nutritious food products, empowering women through economic opportunities, and connecting communities to affordable, healthy foods. Through this integrated approach, we improve livelihoods, reduce post-harvest losses, and promote sustainable community development.

We believe sustainable impact is achieved when producers, processors, consumers, and institutions are connected within resilient and inclusive food systems.
