Gorety Okoth is a gender, policy, and climate-focused development professional passionate about building inclusive and resilient communities. She works at the intersection of sustainable agriculture, nutrition, women’s empowerment, and climate action, supporting initiatives that strengthen local livelihoods while promoting environmental stewardship.

Gorety is particularly interested in policies and programmes that increase opportunities for women and youth in food systems and climate-smart enterprises. Her work combines community engagement, advocacy, and practical solutions to advance equitable development and long-term resilience.

Gorety holds a Master’s in Public Policy and Management and a Bachelor of Public Policy and Administration. She has contributed to climate policy, sustainable development, and community empowerment initiatives through roles with organizations including Verst Carbon, Bayes Consulting, the Development Innovation Lab (University of Chicago), Strathmore University, and Utawala Africa.
